How personal data is processed on this website
This is a courtesy translation. The German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
Ingenieurbüro Embedded, Dipl.-Ing. Holger Fürstenberger, Zeiloch 17, 76646 Bruchsal, Germany, phone +49 721 132 094-0, e-mail info@ib-embedded.de
2. General
This is a statically served website. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content (such as fonts, maps or videos) that would transfer data to third parties when the page is opened. Personal data is processed only to the extent required for technical operation and for answering your enquiries.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on a server we rent from a hosting provider in the European Union. When a page is opened, the web server automatically stores information in log files: the page requested, date and time, volume of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and the IP address of the requesting device. This data is processed solely to ensure trouble-free operation, for error analysis and to defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
4. Contact form and e-mail
If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the details you provide (name, e-mail address, message, optionally company and phone number) in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, or performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The data is transmitted to us by e-mail and stored in our mail system. We delete it once your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Online appointment booking
The „Book a meeting“ page leads to a booking page operated on our own Nextcloud instance (nc.ib-embedded.de). No third-party booking service is involved; your data does not leave our systems.
For the booking we process your name, e-mail address and any comment you choose to add. To verify your e-mail address you receive a confirmation message; the appointment only becomes binding once you click the link it contains. The details are stored in the calendar entry and used solely to hold the meeting. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in organising meetings).
If the meeting takes place by video, we use Nextcloud Talk on the same instance. Connection data required to establish the call is processed. Calls are not recorded.
Calendar entries for meetings that have taken place or been cancelled are deleted once they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Disclosure of data
Your personal data is not passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have consented.
7. Your rights
You have the right to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
8. Data security
Transmission between your browser and our server is encrypted using TLS. The server is updated regularly and protected against unauthorised access.
9. Changes
We adapt this privacy information when the website or the legal situation changes. Status: September 2026.
